Top 5 Books Every Entrepreneur Must Read

What are the top 5 books every entrepreneur must read?

I know you’re amazing, and you’re just one step away from something huge.

You probably already know how important books are. Warren Buffett said, “Read 500 pages like this every day, that’s how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it.” If you go to Bill Gates website, it’s all about books. And even Mark Zuckerberg opened his book club.

That led me to a question, what’s the difference between successful people and average people? Successful people read and learn every day.

Now is the best time to do something nice for yourself and I guarantee these books will change your life. Make sure you check out last months article ”Top 5 Books on Persuasion Everyone Must Read.” And if you want to know how to read a book a day, check out ”How to Read a Book a Day (Smart Reading)”

These are my top five best books that I believe every entrepreneur must read.

Let’s dive in.

Top 5 Books Every Entrepreneur Must Read

Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story

The Morning Routines Of The Most Successful People

We all have big dreams, right? How many goals have you accomplished?

Arnold dreamed about going to California, about being able to be the worlds top bodybuilder, dreamed about being a millionaire, to become an actor, and to became a governor of California. Arnold pulled off every single thing he dreamed about.

Imagine if you and I could pull off even half of the achievements.

You might be thinking that he’s lucky. Let’s look at it. Arnold was born in a year of famine, in a small Austrian town. He could hardly speak English. His family wasn’t rich meaning he didn’t inherit money.

As we can see, he wasn’t lucky. As he said, ”There are no shortcuts – everything is reps, reps, reps.”

If I had to choose one book every entrepreneur should read, this is it. I found it to be one of the most inspiring books I have ever read. It’s a biography of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and he has written it by himself.

This book will encourage you, make you dream big, he will show you every single thing he did and how he did it. It’s filled with golden nuggets and lessons from life. And you will get excited every time you pick it because it’s entertaining (you will catch yourself laughing and crying).

”If you want to turn a vision into reality, you have to give 100% and never stop believing in your dream.”
– Arnold Schwarzenegger

Sam Walton: Made In America

Everyone knows Walmart. But how did this store started? How it become as big as it is now?

In 1985, Forbes magazine proclaimed that Sam Walton was the richest person in the world. If he was alive today, Sam’s personal net worth would be $140 billion.

Made in America is a story of Sam Walton. Again, same as Arnold, Sam was hardworking and always looked at ways how to make his stores better. He wrote this book on his deathbed. Can you imagine that?

What I loved about this book are his passion and competitiveness. Sam wasn’t just sitting around, he was always out there in his competitor stores, and looked what others were doing and what he can implement in his own stores. He said, ”Great ideas come from everywhere if you just listen and look for them. You never know who’s going to have a great idea.”

He always carried his notepad with him and wrote down things. And most important, he believed in putting the customer first. As he said, ”There is only one boss: the customer. And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else.”

Every entrepreneur must read this book.  This book illustrates the journey that faces all entrepreneurs of overcoming obstacles, and what can happen if you stay hungry, passionate and do whatever it takes.

Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future

The Morning Routines Of The Most Successful People 3

I had to put this book on this list because I believe, and you might agree, that Elon Musk is one of the greatest entrepreneurs of our time.

Look, he’s co-founder of PayPal, founder and CEO of SpaceX, co-founder and CEO of Tesla, co-founder and CEO of Neuralink, founder of The Boring Company. And most importantly, he wants to create a better world for people, that’s his mission.

This book is a complete story of Elon Musk. How he was raised, what was in his mind, how he started, what obstacles he faced and how he overcomes them. This book will inspire you to think bigger. A lot of people want to start an online business, work 4-hours a week, but they don’t solve problems and don’t think big enough. Elon said, ”I think there are probably too many smart people pursuing Internet stuff, finance, and law, that is part of the reason why we haven’t seen as much innovation.”

If you want to create something big, innovative, and something lasting, then read this book. But also if you’re looking for inspiration or you’re stuck right now, or you’re about to give up, this will motivate you to move forward because Elon faced this all the time. He had a lot of problems with Tesla, a lot of problems with SpaceX and he risked it all. And now he’s one of the greatest entrepreneurs of all time.

”What’s fascinating is that Musk remains willing to lose it all.”
– Ashlee Vance
